Same prompts, seven video models: who actually wins?
Demo reels are cherry-picked. So seven frontier video models got the exact same five AI-influencer prompts, one take each, and the results were compared side by side.
There are so many AI video models now that it's hard to know which are worth paying for. Image models feel like they've stalled, but frontier video keeps moving. The lineup: Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, MiniMax H3, Wan 3.0, Grok Imagine 1.5, FLUX 3 and Gemini Omni Flash 1.1. Kling 4.0 sat this round out; it gets its own image-to-video test.
01The setup
Every model was called from Higgsfield's Supercomputer, an agent (running Opus 5.5) that can send one prompt to every model at once and collect the results. Settings were the same for all of them:
- 8 seconds at 720p. Fine for testing; go 1080p or higher for production.
- Native audio from each model, so voices could be compared too.
- Text-to-video only. No reference images this time.
| TEST | WHAT IT STRESSES |
|---|---|
| Dialogue close-up | Lip-sync, voice and face realism. |
| Group scene | Three influencers talking over each other about one viral trend. |
| Product hero shot | UGC-style ad for a perfume bottle with a logo. |
| Motion stress test | Anatomy, fast movement, fabric and water physics, consistency. |
| Cinematic mood shot | Neon rain and a transparent umbrella. |
02Dialogue close-up
Seedance 2.0 refused this one outright, flagging the prompt as unsafe. Its filter is noticeably stricter than 2.5's. Of the rest, Seedance 2.5 looked best. MiniMax H3's audio was arguably nicer, Wan 3.0 was solid, and FLUX 3's voice had a distorted quality that actually read as real. Grok Imagine 1.5 had the worst audio by far.
Winner: Seedance 2.5, with Wan 3.0 a contender on audio.
03Group scene
Seedance 2.5 had the best camera movement and was hard to beat. Seedance 2.0 is still good, but there's little reason to pick it over 2.5. MiniMax H3 and Wan 3.0 fell apart on multi-speaker dialogue, turning it into gibberish. Grok's output had a dated look you can spot instantly, and it ignored the 9:16 frame.
Winner: Seedance 2.5.
04Product hero shot
With no faces to get wrong, the field tightened up. Most models produced a usable ad. MiniMax H3 added a nice smoke effect and kept the label text crisp. FLUX 3 was the weakest here.
Winner: a toss-up. Pick on price.
05Motion stress test
Every model struggled: odd skin tones, missing texture, unconvincing physics. Even Seedance 2.5 didn't impress. Wan 3.0 handled it best, its first clear win.
Winner: Wan 3.0.
06Cinematic mood shot
The transparent umbrella turned out to be a great stress test. Seedance 2.0 and MiniMax H3 couldn't handle it. Seedance 2.5 was close to perfect. Wan 3.0 was strong again, FLUX 3 got the umbrella right but distorted the face, and Gemini Omni Flash was decent. Grok Imagine looked months behind; local models like LTX can beat it.
Winner: Seedance 2.5.
The verdict
| MODEL | TAKEAWAY |
|---|---|
| Seedance 2.5 | Best overall. Won dialogue, group and cinematic. |
| Wan 3.0 | Close second. Best motion, strong cinematic. |
| MiniMax H3 | Good product shots, weak multi-speaker dialogue. |
| Gemini Omni Flash 1.1 | Decent, never the best. |
| FLUX 3 | Realistic-sounding audio, weakest product shot. |
| Seedance 2.0 | Still good, but stricter and outclassed by 2.5. |
| Grok Imagine 1.5 | The surprise disappointment. |
